    Marketing Intern – San Diego, CA
    Position Overview
    The Marketing Intern will assist IEM’s Marketing Department in day-to-day activities, as well as in planning and organizing comprehensive international student recruitment programs. This position will provide valuable on-the-ground experience for a future marketing career.

    Essential Functions
    1. Filter all marketing/public relations requests.
    2. Advise students, parents, counselors, and others on the company’s educational programs, attributes, and requirements.
    3. Update and maintain the company’s social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
    4. Assist with development of plans for regional recruitment efforts and marketing.
    5. Assist with professional and effective presentations at educational institutions, organizations and other public forums.
    6. Assist with analysis and evaluation effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
    7. Perform miscellaneous office duties (responding to emails and phone calls, organizing files and marketing collaterals, coordinating meetings, etc).
    8. Assist with other special projects as assigned by supervisor.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
    1. Must be result-focused, self-motivated, disciplined, organized and creative.
    2. Must be a multi-tasker and be able to work effectively without close supervision.
    3. Professional, energetic, and detail-oriented.
    4. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and be able to work well in teams.
    5. Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
    6. Knowledge of graphic and web design is preferred.

    Qualifications Required
    Current college student preferably enrolled in a Marketing, Business Administration or Public Relations program. Previous marketing experience is a plus.

    Marketing & Recruitment Coordinator – Shanghai, China
    Position Overview
    International Education Management Group, Inc (IEM) seeks a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual to assist in the planning and execution of the marketing and promotional campaigns and recruitment efforts for IEM high school programs in China. The Marketing & Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for the development, execution and management of the comprehensive international marketing and recruitment plan for high school students in China for IEM partner high schools in the U.S.. This is a full-time position. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will be based in Shanghai, China.

    Essential Functions
    1. Act as the expert voice and face of IEM for partner high schools by providing detailed high school programs counseling and admissions advice to prospective students, parents and marketing partners at various promotional events in China.
    2. Cultivate and maintain solid, loyal relationships with US-focused recruitment channels in China, including education agents, government organizations and sponsoring organizations, feeder institutions, articulation partners, etc.
    3. Coordinate marketing schedules for IEM China staff and high schools administrative representatives.
    4. Coordinate the timely distribution of promotional materials and the translation and distribution of IEM and/or partner high schools news items to agents.
    5. Provide on-going training, support and detailed high school programs knowledge to country office staff, as well as to external marketing and recruitment partners.
    6. Provide IEM China country office, as well as IEM US-based Corporate Headquarters staff with up-to-date feedback of local agents, perspective students and their parents on partner high schools programs, admission processes, student services, etc.
    7. Work closely with the IEM Admissions team to ensure that accurate information about partner high schools programs, requirements and admissions processes are communicated to potential applicants.
    8. Travel extensively throughout the country to promote IEM’s partner high schools programs.
    9. Develop best practices for IEM international recruitment and actively work to promote a diverse international high school student population.
    10. Ensure IEM agents and representatives maintain a positive view of IEM, its staff, and its partner high schools through courteous and professional manner.
    11. Stay abreast of political and economic factors which may impact international recruitment and maintain strategic flexibility.
    12. Perform a wide range of different duties as part of the Team which will include but not limited to the above.

    Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications
    1. Bilingual, native speaker in both Chinese (preferred, but not a requirement) and English
    2. Bachelor’s degree from a US institution with a good understanding of the US education system
    3. Experience in recruiting international students to attend academic and/or programs in a US setting
    4. Experience developing a high-level marketing and recruitment plan and seeing it through to completion
    5. Ability to utilize various marketing initiatives and tools in the most efficient manner to achieve set enrollment goals
    6. Self-motivator and highly passionate about education
    7. Ability to foster collaboration and trust, and to work collegially; ability to inspire others to high levels of performance
    8. Superior interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of cultures and linguistic backgrounds
    9. Persuasive and enthusiastic personality
    10. Strong leadership ability, including motivating and developing others
    11. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
    12. Extremely detail-oriented and good organization skills
