Find out more information about becoming a Host Family

Provide a nurturing and structured environment for the students (ages 14-18) to grow and flourish. Host families are expected to take the child to and from school, provide three meals per day, a private bedroom, and consistently communicate with IEM about the progress of the child. A handbook will be provided.

They will begin to arrive around a week before the semester begins (Fall or Spring Semester), depending on the start date of the school that the students will be enrolled in.

We would like for you to have the students for one academic school year.

Starting at $1300 per month/student provided to Homestay Hosts.

In addition to receiving a high quality education in the U.S., our students seek to experience our culture and become part of an American family. Furthermore, many of our students strive to get into a top U.S. university.

Yes, special requests are considered, but cannot always be accommodated.

IEM will have a detailed orientation for families and also provide ongoing support. A handbook will be provided to families and students.

IEM will work with the family to find the child another homestay placement.

IEM has a referral program. You will receive $100 for every family who you refer to us, who is selected and accepts the homestay commitment.
